The Manifestivus - Ethereal Delirium

The Manifestivus is a band that been together for a little over a year, and they have just now released the debut album Ethereal Delirium.  The band is based on singer/songwriter Bryce McClellan’s songs, although McClellan says that the band is a “free forum for the expression of each instrumentalist.”  Rounding out the sound are Clifton McDaniel (Moonbees, The Richmanian Ramblers, Ilad) on guitars, Brian Wiltz (Moonbees, Botox Party) on drums, Tristan Dougherty (A Gray Canvas, The Skatter Brain) on bass, and Alexander Lee on violin.

McClellan’s falsetto is reminiscent of Bon Iver, and the songs are chill and poignant.  The violin adds an extra element of partly classical and partly Americana, depending on how Lee plays his instrument.  The folk songs are lush and hushed, making a relaxing album in full.

Check out The Manifestivus for yourself on 8/21 @ The Camel with Tallhart, Belle Histoire, Brother William, and Isaac and Friends!  8 pm, $8.
