Goodweird - “Wildwood Flower” (Carter Family cover)

Villavillanola.com is offering free downloads of the brand new band, Goodweird’s debut album, Cool Cool Blood.  Goodweird is made up of band members from Fire Bison, Baby Help Me Forget!, Boney Loner, Dark Horse and the Carousels, plus singer/songerwriter Ramona Robbins.  Duane Lauginiger (Harsh Realm, Moste Potente Potions) is the man behind the songs.

Soak in the sunny, psychedelic sounds whilst transporting back to the early 1960s.  Twiggy, shift dresses, and headwraps come to mind when listening to the experimental pop projects.  The album begins, setting sail with a pirate-worthy “Dead Dream” and leads into bright and musty “Chills My Body” with vocals that are just-off, not really committing fully to a single note.  Check out The Carter Family cover above and don’t miss the last song, “Something’s On Your Mind,” a Karen Dalton cover.
